What’s the key to any long space journey for humans? Lots of things, but pretty high up there are fuel and oxygen.
The ability to refuel spacecraft, fuel rockets, and replenish oxygen supplies is an important piece of the sustainable exploration puzzle. International Space Station demonstration missions like the Robotic Refueling Mission 3 (RRM3) are helping us develop the tools and techniques needed to replenish cryogenic fluid which can be used as propellant, coolant, or for life support systems—conveniently, just the things you’d need.
In this episode of Tech on Deck, join Astronaut Anne McClain to learn all about RRM3, and the ways it could help us journey farther than we’ve ever gone before.
